The laboratory’s mission is to describe cognitive failures in various neurological and psychiatric disorders in order not only to contribute to their evaluation and treatment, but also to understand normal brain function. In this way, the neuropsychological profiles of patients with neurological and psychiatric diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, Frontotemporal Dementia, Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disease, are studied to later collaborate in the description of the neural bases of various cognitive functions such as Memory or Social Cognition. It also seeks to know in depth the processing of normal and pathological language, both at the behavioral and brain level, during childhood and adult life. This knowledge will allow the development of adequate tools for the evaluation and design of theoretically based treatments in Spanish.
