One of the important limitations when applying knowledge about cognitive mechanisms in different social and cultural fields is that the results obtained in the laboratory are not necessarily representative of what happens in real settings. In this project we study the effects of a novelty in the middle of a class, on the evocation of memory, divergent and convergent thinking in populations of primary and secondary school students. In this way, we want to understand how small manipulations in the classroom can have positive effects on learning, creativity and problem solving.
